03.27.2011-Sunday-Rest Day

"Quit, don't quit.  Noodle, don't noodle.  You are too concerned of what was and what will be.  There is a saying… Yesterday is history, tomorrow's a mystery… but today… is a gift… that is why it is called the present."  __ Master Uguay

There is no secret ingredient…

    Post in comments.

  17. Last chance…
The shed will be open today around noon, for Brendan, Kevin and I will be doing the throwdown series WOD.
If you want one last shot at WOD 1, this is your last chance.
Keep in mind, I don’t want to be there all day, for there is much food I have to cook!!
I will be walking out the door at 2pm the latest, so please be decisive!

  25. Pat,
I would be more than happy to stay until 2 as long as any one going is in by 1 so you can be home. Please post if you’re giving it another go. If not happy rest day!

  33. Just want to thank everyone for a great first (second) week of The Open.
All competitors and non-competitors alike have been very patient and extremely enthusiastic and supportive.
As we continue through the weeks of competition, I ask that you keep it simple and realistic! Strive to do your best, and then do a little bit better! Do not worry about comparing yourself to your teammates, for we are all in this together. Instead, see who is near you on the leader board, and strive to rank ahead of that athlete.
I am very proud of all of you… every ShedHead!
Thanks for being a part of my life, and joining me along my CrossFit Journey.
I got your back along the way!

    Sunday reflection,
Finishing up my paleo tacos, I started thinking anxiously about wod #2 that will be coming out soon. I then began to reflect on my journey at the shed. The link above is dp’s first day at the shed, back before there was a dp, only a Rob (some may say a much more fun guy to be around. Mainly because I drank like a fish and ate like a pig). I soon got a large majority of my family to join and never looked back. It is amazing how the shed becomes such a huge part of all our lives. I think this is because the quality of our athletes character and leadership and drive of our coaches. Whether it’s the coaching in the shed or the late night paleo/crossfit advice over email or bbm, Pat and J9 are always there when needed. It’s their drive and inspiration that keeps us all coming back. So without getting too long winded or emotional just wanted to say thanks for everything over the last couple of years.

  49. Never met the overly indulgent Rob, but DP is definitely a fun guy to be around!
It has only been 7 months since joining the Shed and I have noticed a huge change in so many aspects of my life. I want to thank everyone for being so welcoming and inspirational. I do not want to think how my transition into the “real world” would have panned out if I (my friends from school actually) had not found the Shed.
Can I get that poem Desiderata put on a really large (medium) tee shirt…..
