main site wod = "Hansen" (another Hero WOD… RIP Hansen)
Best of luck to Bill and Steph in Sunday's NJ Marathon… you have our respect and support!!
click on “Christine” and pay close attention to the video.
Pat does not waste time getting to the deads, then to the box, and then back to the rower.
Also, 3/4 or more of his feet are on the box every jump, and he gets full hip extension coming off the box every time.
This is an amazing athlete, and the video is a valuable tool. Please watch it closely and learn from it.
Not sure if we have a sub 9 minute “Christine” athlete in the shed, but I bet we have athletes with the fortitude to get this done in close to 10 minutes!
We shall find out in the morning!

Yesterday’s video of Coach’s ASEP presentation speaks to the foundations of the practical applications of CrossFit.
Good information to put it all into perspective as to why we do the things we do. It is long in length, however!

Would love to be able to box jump like that!
I’ll dig to look for past Christine times to compare to.

Had to go back to October 12 for the last time we did this:
Janine- 13:43 @125#
Pat- 13:08 @175#
Craig- 15:41 @145#
Steve- 15:41 @215#
Sena- 16:57 @115#
This was back in the day when we were breaking in the new boxes and Steve still preferred jumping the stump over the box.
We’ve come a long way!

question – when they say bodyweight on a weighted exercise, does that mean what your lean bodyweight would be?

Deb
when the exercise calls for bodyweight, we are looking for how much you weigh.
for example, I weigh 170#, so today I will be deadlifting 175# (because we don’t have any 2.5# plates)
if an individual’s bodyweight is something that is too heavy to lift, then we just scale back to a weight that is doable.

I found today’s wod motivating. Although I was 12:07 I also did close to my body weight on the DL @ 205 (My fat a$$ weighs 222.5 according the the scale @ 10AM this morning)I’ve never tried that much before so I look to vastly improve the next time. Going for 10 flat.

yeah, I really wanted this in 10, but that last row hurt my time tremendously. just couldn’t recover that lost time. I will get it next time!
