  1. Starts today Randy, I will post the rules a little later today for anyone who wants in.
Your timing is perfect, i just told the wife not 5 minutes ago that impending doom was upon me and the burpee challenge begins TODAY!
Coach, where you at? You down for the challenge? I think we really need some corporate backing here!

  4. it looks like Alex, Matt, Dale and Craig are all in as well, so we’ll have to survey their feelings on that, but it makes sense to me Randy.
I’m glad you did the math, but i’m not sure i wanted to know that! lol

  7. Coach, I took a rest day yesterday which was sorely needed. Today I managed to get the following in @ 18:34
    100 pushups
    100 skip jump rope
    100 situps
    2 miles on the bike
    30 squats with a 15lb medicine ball.

  10. I copied this from the Crossfit Santa Cruz website, they are crediting a couple other affiliates with having come up with the idea.
They’re all saying the same thing in the end, they’ve gotten a lot stronger period. A lot of people seem to have the same reason that i do for doing this… im lousy at burpees and im tired of suffering through them, so its time to work on that weakness.
Currently myself and Randy, Alex, Matt, Craig, Dale and of course the Coach himself has ponied up. (knew he wouldn’t let us do it without him!)
Anyone who would like to join us is welcome, and much of it will be on the honor system, but the rules are below. I also have a more descriptive document with the rules and standards for the burpee that i’ll email to Pat, and if you want it he can get it to you.
    DP, Charlie, where you at?
    The Rules:
    1. Use Burgener’s burpee standards for form (see examples below)
    2. You can complete each day’s burpees all at once, or broken up and done at different times throughout the day
    3. If for some reason you miss a day, you have to make up all the missed burpees the following day
    4. If you don’t start the challenge with us today, you can “buy-in” at any time by doing ALL the missed day’s burpees on your first day
    5. Any burpees you complete during your regular workout can count towards that day’s Challenge burpees, if you want them to
    5. Have fun doing burpees and getting stronger doing it!

  22. Cough was probably from the double WOD!
You sure are going to have a very strong upper body BF, while rehabing the knee.
Glad you are keeping with it!

  25. Bill, my math skills have diminished greatly since I left school, and that was many years ago. I know there’s an equation that would figure that out, but i can’t help you out.
If your thinking about starting after your surgery, I’m sure we can bend the rules for something like that. i think on day 40ish, the buy is would be really unmanageable…
