And a warm welcome to Dan and Maria.  Dan is a Hoboken CrossFit athlete who will be spending some time training with us this summer (and hopefully longer).  Maria is an exceptional athlete who is only with us for 1 month before she moves to Hawaii.  Welcome!

  1. Hi Pat and Janine!
Yesterday was Jason’s first triathlon-he did Randolph Lake-and he won the novice division with an impressive time of 1:29:20!It was a half mile swim, 17 mile bike, and 5k run. Before starting crossfit, Jason could not even run more than five minutes with knee pain. Now he can successfully do a 5k with very minimal pain!
We will be back in very soon to start up again. We see the difference in not being there for a couple of weeks and definitely recognize the benefits of crossfit. Thanks so much to both of you for your expertise in training!
    See you soon!

  5. Since I surprisingly have not added in my 2 cents yet, I’ll say that this may not look too hard on the board – but it will sneak up and get you.
Don’t expect to be able to catch your breath – it is a lung buster.
Ally Cat had the pleasure of announcing 3,2,1, GO! as I completed this at the O’RedShed.

  9. I liked the fact that I did not have to do 54 straight burpees this morning.
Jason – nice work. CF training will only make you faster and more efficient. Also, a great resource to check out:
    http://www.crossfitendurance.com
Nancy – glad you will be running.
I will have the usual post-event recovery treats for the group!

  13. im with you charlie, i’ve been struggling for about a week and i need to get on top of it soon. no worries, all things are cyclical…
however, i would have preferred to do my burpees seperate and replace them in the wod with jumping jacks!
DP where you at? it just isnt the same not having to look over my shoulder to make sure you arent sneaking up behind me!
