08.02.2009-Sunday-RedShed Rest Day

RedShed Rest DayIMG00002

Programming for 5 days in a row of training proved to be more strenuous than the actual WODs!  We got off easy last week.

The week ahead will be business as usual.

It is already August, and we need to finish the summer strong.  The end of thismonth, we would like to have an internal competition (for fun) to "crown" the most well-rounded ShedHead.

In addition, we would like to participate (as an affiliate) in the FGB IV fundraiser taking place on September 26th.

Best of luck to those of you starting the 30 day paleo challenge… use this community for support and guidance.

  1. Sorry folks, no burpees on the dance floor yesterday.
Instead, I performed the following WOD:
“be a Dad with two little girls at a wedding ALL DAY into the night”
Needless to say, I am more tired today than I usually am on a Sunday…. and I have to do 147 burpees.
    nice
see ya in the shed tomorrow, and remember…
it is Maria’s last WOD. Let’s send her off to Hawaii with true RedShed intensity!

  9. Regarding Burpees:
    – I think yesterday that the daily challenge officially became a workout unto itself. I was absolutely drenched head to toe in sweat…My shorts looked as if I stepped out of a pool.
    – Drowning Pool and Dropkick Murphy’s are good music to burpee by…
    – At home daily burpees may be performed sans textiles henceforth to cut down on the laundry. Sorry for the mental picture…
Paleo challenge meal plans anyone??? Suggestions are gratefully accepted.

  13. PALEO DIARY : so far ive loaded up on egg salad, tuna w/mayo, cucumber with oil and vinegar, unsweetened apple sauce, walnuts, apples and did I mention how I’m missing pizza? I’ll be making guacamole soon to accompany my celery sticks…so far so good. I’m hoping that by day 18 I’m still liking romaine lettuce and walnuts…

Anna – I had my last slice of pizza on Friday in prep for starting this. Doesn’t happen often – but I figured why not?
