Cheating CrossFit, cheating the RedShed, or cheating yourself… which is it??? As much fun as we have in the RedShed, the issue of cheating has come up too many times in the past couple of weeks. I assure you, if skimping is witnessed, it is always addressed. Is the competition factor… and the times listed on the board influencing your ability to reach full range of motion, count reps accurately or perform the movements to CrossFit standards? Before an accusation is made, whether in jest or with intent, please ask yourself if you are in full compliance with the standards set forth by CrossFit and the RedShed. In addition, when you start worrying about what everyone else is doing, you are losing focus on why you are training in the first place… for you! If you think a fellow ShedHead is cheating, and you are losing sleep over it, please address the issue with me privately; and I will deal with it accordingly.
A very wise young athlete once told me, "when you think you are at the top of the mountain, you're already on your way down." Very true.
