  1. In trying to get in some miles this AM and spending time in the Old Shed, here’s my take on today’s WOD:
    1 mile run
    25 burpees
    1/2 mile run
    20 burpees
    1/4 mile run
    15 burpees
    1/2 mile run
    10 burpees
    1 mile run
    5 burpees
    3.25 miles
    75 burpees
    28:05
2 days of back-to-back long WODs!
Upper body is definitely sore from yesterday.

I had a sample of the recreated banana nut bite recipe – but you had already left by the time we made it over to the Shed.
    Original Recipe:
    Ingredients:
    – 2 Bananas
    – 3 cups nuts
    – 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
    – 2 eggs
    Instructions:
    1. Combine all ingredients except eggs in a food processor.
    2. Pulse until well mixed. You want it pretty well chopped but chunks are delicious so not too much.
    3. In a mixing bowl, combine mixture with eggs.
    4. Press into an 8×8 pan.
    5. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Mine took about 30 minutes.
    6. Cut 4X4 so you have 16 bites/bars. (or however you want to divide it up.
    7. Enjoy!
    Re-created:
    1/2 cup less nuts
    1/2 cup less coconut flakes
    couple of handfuls of blueberries
    sprinkled in some cinnamon
    splash of vanilla (paleo questionable???)
    Baked about 22 minutes
It gave a bit more flavor than just having the banana in there. Again, I think this can be played around with in many ways with a variety of ingredients. Left the sample in the fridge for you.

  41. Sena+1 + Healed Sciatic Nerve + 100 squats a day again!!!

    Hello McCoy,
crossfitmom.com has some nice information regarding postpartum training, especially on the forum pages. The website is not very comprehensive. However, the site owner, Andrea answers questions very fast and thoroughly. Since their forum is not active like ours here, I usually send Andrea private messages when I have questions.
Also, check the crossfit.com message boards. There are always discussions on the forum about pregnant/postpartum training.
I plan on returning at the scaled level about 2 weeks post-partum. Then slowly raising intensity. I remember J9 came back pretty fast after Cait was born.
Looking forward to meeting Shannon soon!!!
