Matt's Birthday WOD 

Matt is one of the "founding fathers" of the RedShed.  Several months after the birth of the shed, Matt joined his brother in a quest for ultimate fitness.  On his journey, I witnessed him change physically and mentally.  I saw an ego broken down, and built back up.  Matt has been humbled, and has humbled many.  When taking his training seriously, Matt is a menace in the gym… a fine young man with a ton of potential in and out of the gym.  Hope you have a great birthday, Matt.  This WOD is for you bud!

    If only Matt was turning 15 – this would have been more enjoyable.

    hurdle burpees are simply doing a burpee next to your barbell, and then jumping over the barbell instead of straight up.
    The burpee is not complete until you jump over the barbell, so on rep 9 you must jump the barbell before starting thrusters.

    I know b-day WODs are a one-time deal, but after struggling so much on this one, I was wondering if done after a rest day – would that make any difference?
    My guess is that it would still be hard as hell.
    I guess Matt’s WOD goes down as the toughest b-day one yet. But how long will that last??? I hear that someone else has a b-day coming up soon.

  96. I almost didn’t go today b/c my body is beat up from being on the last 4 days, but I hadn’t done FS in a while and I have an aiuamottc rest day tomorrow b/c i’m working so I decided to go in. Glad I did. First, got to wod with Murph and LindsEy and Scott and a couple of newbies, and got to see Ash so, that made it all worth it. Second, I wasn’t expecting anything grand from my FS b/c my body’s pretty wasted but I just kept adding weight and tied my old FS 3 rep max. So I’m happy with that. My FS still needs a TON of work, but baby steps. Third loved this metcon. Short and sweet! 4:19 Rx (20#). I think I could have gone faster so I might have a re-do day soon. We’ll see. Or i’ll try it with a heavier ball. Nice work today 1130!

HOLD POLICY

Month-to-Month Membership Agreements and Annual Membership Agreements: You may place your Membership on hold two (2) times per calendar year up to three (3) consecutive months each time. Advanced notice of at least two (2) business days is required. The hold must be 30 days in duration at a minimum and 30 days must elapse between holds. Upon expiration of the term of the hold, your account will automatically become active and payments will resume. Should you choose to return prior to the end of their hold period, the hold will be released and payments will resume.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All membership agreements require 30-days written notice to cancel your membership. This form will serve as your 30-days written cancellation notice. Note that if you have a scheduled renewal payment within 30-days of your invoice billing date, the payment will be processed as scheduled. Your membership will be canceled at the end of your final paid month. All payments are non-refundable. All grandfathered membership rates will also be forfeited and returning members will be subject to current rates.
