  1. We decided to change the WOD slightly in order to avoid a potential marathon. Don’t want people standing around!!!
This WOD will require EVERY athlete to be completely aware of his/her space. There will be athletes performing thrusters, ring push-ups and double unders at the same time at some point in the WOD.
So PLEASE work hard at being fast while under complete control… please do not drop a barbell without knowing for sure it is safe to drop it. Don’t spin your rope unless you know for sure your rope won’t hit another athlete.
    Don’t break up those thrusters!!!
And get your double unders unbroken!!!

    good one today
I can totally relate, because I am a CrossFit addict.
Right before the last event(s) at OTG, I had that feeling in my gut… I was almost afraid, because I knew how much it was going to hurt… I had almost calculated exactly when the pain was going to come… yet I stepped into my lane and became almost fearless in the face of a 6min AMRAP. Why? Because I can’t help myself! I almost need to experience that pain in order to feel alive!
I know I can’t compete with the elite, and that’s OK with me… because it is between me and the barbell, or the pull-up bar, or the jump rope… it’s my goal to win that war and finish the WOD…, and where my time falls is where it falls. The goal is to win that battle, and the reward is the high!
    Thanks Lisbeth!!

  25. Thanks, Doug. After a year and a half for some reason today multiple unbroken DU’s just started happening.
Coach told me a year and a half ago that it was about technique and that it was all in the wrist.
As I progressed I concluded that it was more complicated than Coach said.
Eventually I was able to do one DU amidst singles. And then I was able to do as many as seven DU’s every now and then.
And finally, today, it just happened. I did forty unbroken in the 60’s and I did my final 20 unbroken.
And as I was doing them, I realized:
It’s about technique and it’s all in the wrist.
    Coach is awesome.
