I’d definitely rcoemmend using the split over the classic snatch even if you are pretty familiar with it. As a squat is much more technical than a split, when you are very fatigued, there is jsut so much more that can go wrong squatting as opposed to splitting. Just make sure you get low enough with your split when the weight is real heavy. I had three pulls at 165# yesterday and failed on all three because I wasn’t aggressive enough with the split. May try this again Sunday.Ryan B, Quinn, Mark, and Levi tore through this thing yesterday getting into the 60s. Levi was done with the 135# at just over 5mins, pretty impressive to watch.

I’d definitely rcoemmend using the split over the classic snatch even if you are pretty familiar with it. As a squat is much more technical than a split, when you are very fatigued, there is jsut so much more that can go wrong squatting as opposed to splitting. Just make sure you get low enough with your split when the weight is real heavy. I had three pulls at 165# yesterday and failed on all three because I wasn’t aggressive enough with the split.
