Just about 5 minutes ago our home phone rang. The caller ID read “Private Name”. When I answered the caller mispronounced my name (happens a lot) and proceeded to inform me that he was calling from ADT Security and wanted to know if I was interested in a “free Demo”.
I explained that we are already ADT customers and he promptly disconnected.
Got me thinking, that wasn’t ADT. No flippin’ way. That was someone looking to rob me. Looking to see if my home is protected.
We called ADT and they confirmed that they do not solicit business that way.
So, please be careful and aware of everything.
