Weekend Update for RedShed 3.0:

  • Friday and Saturday Scheduling of WODs will remain as usual… heat times will be posted on the whiteboard, and heats will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
  • Friday morning, all WODs will be at the current gym (Netcong).
  • Friday afternoon/evening, all WODs will be at the new location (Mt. Olive).  Post WOD, coaches will be on hand to provide you with a quick tour of your new gym, and answer any questions you might have.
  • Yes, if you trained in the morning, you can still come to the new shed in the evening for a tour (but no double WODs!).
  • Saturday, all WODs and Basic Training Make-up Session will be at the new location.  We will remain open from 12-2 on Saturday for all ShedHeads to visit the new gym, get acquainted with the set-up, ask questions etc.
  • The summer Hours of Operation will be updated this weekend!
  • It is very important that we all do our best to not interfere with the athletes and coaches as they are training and coaching this weekend.  Please have respect for your fellow shedheads, and curb your urge to get on the equipment when others are training.  You will have plenty of time to practice stuff in the very near future!
  • Finally… our new address is 20 Continental Drive, Mt. Olive, NJ 07828 (just look for the huge red shed!)

  10. One of my first thoughts was in line with Joe’s #2. More specifically:
    – Trying to catch up to Kat and K8 on a number of 400 m runs because I lost so much time on pull ups or whatever.
    – Wondering if they too thought I was about to die because I couldn’t breathe for the first 2-3 months at the Shed.
    – Needing about 30 minutes to finish my first OHS WOD. Melanie and a few others were stuck with me and I can still see her looking at her nails while I failed rep after rep. Eventually I did finish (J9 wouldn’t let me stop), and nobody from that heat left before I got done. I’m still grateful for that…
On the other hand there was the day when I looked up at the board and realized that somehow I had the best time that day. I was dumbfounded…even a blind squirrel finds a nut!

  37. Ah 2.0…so many memories.
Intro classes before it was actually 2.0
Larry driving his ice cream truck
Taking down the office and painting over a brutally cold New Years weekend
Barbells for boobs, JaniRo, fight gone bad
J9 talking me into double wods
    Woding with Janice’s parents
Too many to list. The last four years have changed our lives.

  46. I need more time to list mine out…Maybe by Sunday.
However, these few scream community to me…and that is what RedShed is all about…
Eventually I did finish (J9 wouldn’t let me stop), and nobody from that heat left before I got done. I’m still grateful for that…
Looking forward to seeing people at the Shed after a long day at work…
meeting so many cool and inspiring people that i look forward to wodding with, every day…
Kat would not let me quit…

meeting so many cool and inspiring people that i look forward to wodding with, every day…
Kat would not let me quit…

  52. I need more time to list mine out…Maybe by Sunday.
However, these few scream community to me…and that is what RedShed is all about…
Eventually I did finish (J9 wouldn’t let me stop), and nobody from that heat left before I got done. I’m still grateful for that…
