  1. June 21st we will be hosting an outdoor team competition at Lakeside Field in Jefferson Twsp to raise money for W’s firehouse.
We will need the help of everyone, so please mark your calendars!
In the next couple of weeks, we will be organizing volunteers, judges etc.
On a separate note, last Wednesday was a great day at the shed. As you are aware, the cash-out was 50 burpees. In the 7:30pm heat, one athlete was left doing burpees… with 20+ reps left on the table, all of the other athletes in that heat gathered around that athlete, and they all finished the burpees together! Some of those folks did 75+ burpees that night just to help a fellow shedhead get through the WOD.
I have been there, and I know how it feels when everyone else is done and you still have a long way to go. When others are willing to share that pain with you, and put you on their back to finish the journey, it means a lot… and that goes a long way with me. I never forget who those people are who helped, and took on some of my struggle.
That kind of stuff says a lot about people.
It’s a joy to see and experience… and it makes our jobs as coaches very fulfilling!
    Thanks for listening!
    Enjoy your Sunday!

  10. Looking forward to the 5k and helping at the competition.
Some of is shed heads finished the NJ Marathon today! It was so much fun….we rallied around a runner friend who can no longer run because of ALS. So he did it in a wheelchair being pushed by friends.
    Shed heads do good things.

  19. My costume was fantastic….more of a complement to the several Elvis costumes I was running with. It got hot under my wig but I refused to take it off. Just picture Mike V and Kieran with big Elvis wigs….it was a great day.

  28. I’m going to cover a few topics in one post…:
Thanks for the kind words regarding the race! It was an awe-inspiring to run with such amazing friends (both new and old). Someone also pointed out that I went from couch to two marathons (within 6 months of each other) in 5 years. RedShed was a big part of building my confidence and endurance to enable me to compete. NJ Marathon marks the end of my marathon career, but I am happy to participate in half marathons or less.
I second Kieren’s comment…I loved the pullup training and learned some great tips that I hope to continue to refine to build my PU technique.
I’m interested in supporting RedShed with the competition and hope to participate in Dylan’s Dinosaur Stomp 5K! I have to coordinate dates and times with sports commitments, but I have the boys and they can also help at the xfit comp. and participate in the 5k if we available.
    Thanks again!
