When Josh was describing his WOD at Athlete Camp Friday night, I was losing track of the volume of torture. I would have backed out of our bike ride yesterday, but he stuck it out for 78 glorious miles and a shitload of climbing (I would say that climbing High Point Mtn after 35 mikes is a Shed Kicker). The dude is either crazy…or awesome!

Newspaper request!
Does anyone still read a newspaper? If you have any that are just going to be recycled – can you please bring in to the Shed? Need for a project.
Bonus if you are coming in tomorrow morning and can bring in tomorrow. If not, later in the week is fine.
Thanks!
Ally & Cait

in defense of Athlete Development Camp… the word “torture” is a very bad way to describe what goes on in each session.
volume?… yes, you get volume
torture?… no, it is not tortuous
Athlete Development Camp is:
-geared toward developing athleticism in the gym
-creating “ah ha” moments where you start to get a better understanding of how you function as an athlete
-exposure to energy systems, breathing & pacing
-speed, quickness, agility… and applying that mentality to your training
-most importantly, opportunities for each athlete to put the blinders on, focus on themselves and get a sense of fulfillment as an athlete… we don’t compete with each other, we work together like a team… it’s like going to RedShed Strength & Conditioning practice!
what you put into it is what you get out of it… it’s that simple.
will there be more sessions, or another camp?… yes
We will hold a Fall Athlete Development Camp that will run between Halloween and Christmas.
This is open to anyone… the only prerequisites are:
-you must be coachable
-you must possess a desire to learn, and a want to be better
-you must have an open mind
-you must be willing to take rest days
-you will get homework… and if you want to get closer to possessing your desired skills and goals, you have to do the work… attending our camp is not a magic pill!
I am only taking on 20 athletes for the Fall ADC… there will be a Friday night group and a Sunday morning group.
If you would like specific details, please reach out to me directly and I will accommodate with specific camp information…

My apologies….my comment was not meant to be derogatory in any way. I was simply calling out what I thought was a pretty big accomplishment by one of people, on top of a tough WOD.
