  1. Hey ShedHeads!
    Here is my post-op update:
No more neck collars for me, and I can start driving, and I can start moving… but no training or lifting until February.
Please, please, please do not let me carry your empty barbells, don’t let me pick up kettlebells or dumbbells heavier than 20lb, please don’t let me strip your barbells, etc.
I feel great, I feel normal, but the bones are not healed, and they won’t be for quite some time. Even though I feel normal, and I want to do burpees and rope climbs, I can’t. I am allowed to ride the bike and move my body, but with no external resistance.
So I am posting here and asking for your help and support for the next few weeks and months. Please keep me in line, and don’t allow me to do stuff I shouldn’t be doing!!
On a fitness note, I think you should know and understand that our fitness has a direct correlation to our health and wellness. It is very apparent that the dedication I have to achieving and maintaining my fitness is why I had no pain after surgery, and having been given freedom from my neck collar so early. Please keep stuff like this in mind as you continue your fitness journey… for what you do in the gym influences many aspects of your life!
