Managing the CrossFit Open 2016
The CrossFit Games Open Season is now upon us!!
WOD 16.1 will be announced on February 25th, and we will be performing The Open WODs every Saturday at the shed!
Here is how Saturdays will work throughout The Open season (Feb 27 – March 26)
•Every Saturday, workouts will begin at 8am and heats will continue every 30min until 11am
•Signing up for heats will occur at the shed via the whiteboard, and all training opportunities will be on a first come, first served basis… so if you want to train at a certain time or in a certain heat YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE to show up and sign up… we are not using Mindbody for Saturday training during the Open Season. (depending on available judges, we usually can get 5-8 in each heat)
•If you are registered for The Open, you must complete the workout with a judge and meet all movement standard criteria, whether it be Rx’d or Scaled.
•If you are not registered for The Open but still want to train on Saturdays, you will still need to sign up for your heat, but you will not need a judge.
•If you are registered for The Open and Saturdays will not work in your schedule, you can perform The Open WODs during any Open Gym hours, or during normal heat times WHEN THERE ARE TWO COACHES on the floor (because you will need a judge)… so if you cannot come in on Saturdays, please coordinate with a coach/judge to get your workout in and score validated.
•Repeating Open WODs is discouraged… unless it will provide you with the opportunity to be eligible for Regionals, or bump you into the top 200 in the world in your masters age division.
•Please take responsibility to make sure you have coordinated with a coach/judge if you cannot perform the WODs on Saturdays.
