Dear RedShed Community
As we face this ever-changing, continuously growing uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus, there are things we do know, and steps we can take to ensure your training facility and RedShed Family of athletes are here after all of this is over.
What we are doing…
This week (3/16) RedShed CrossFit will be in accordance with the state mandated shutdown of all gyms in NJ. Even though our doors will be closed temporarily, you can still get some training in on your own. We will be offering at home workouts daily, along with short videos of me “over-explaining” the workouts. In addition, we will be making efforts to get outside to local parks for some outdoor training, running, biking, hiking etc. If you are lucky enough to have a home gym/garage gym, please do your best to modify the daily programming based on what you have access to at home. If you have a rower, assault bike… or any other “cardio” equipment, and would like a 2-3 week template for that piece of equipment, I would be happy to provide that for you… just email me… pjneill@ptd.net. As we all move through this uncertain time, please know that we are here to help you continue training in some way, shape or form… just ask for help!!
What you can do…
Simply put… if you’re not feeling 100% healthy AND 100% comfortable, PLEASE STAY HOME. Personal responsibility is essential… non of us are immune to this thing.
If you choose to train anywhere, in any capacity… please take full responsibility to ensure you clean everything you touch… equipment, doors, pens… etc.
It’s clear that social distancing is being enforced and encouraged across the country and the world to “flatten the curve”. We would encourage you to be mindful of this concept of social distancing, and try to implement it accordingly in your daily routine.
It is our goal for RedShed CrossFit to be here for many years to come, and in order for that to happen, we need our community of athletes to be mindful, understanding and open-minded to our methods of keeping our gym in virtual operation during these very uncertain times.
On behalf of the owners and coaches, I thank you for your continued support and confidence in our program. We have over a decade of resilience to tap into… we will get through this and be stronger on the other side!
Please keep your eyes and ears open… keep checking in to the website for details on training on your own, and sharing your results of your home training experiences … and most importantly, stay safe and healthy, for you and your family!!
Yours in Fitness,
CPJ
