When/how did you discover CrossFit?
2015. After two years of Obstacle Course Racing (OCR), I wanted to get into a more aggressive fitness regiment. At the time I was going to a ‘normal’ gym and CKO Kickboxing. One of the coaches at the time knew I was doing OCRs and wanted to test my grip. I can’t remember the exact workout but it was hang cleans and rope climbs for 10 minutes. If you want to test your grip and want a forearm “pump” I recommend it.
How do you FOSS?
Since Jess and I live by a lake and have endless trails down the street there is a lot of time on the water (paddleboard and kayak) and in the trails. I really want to get back into mountain biking, but haven’t rode in years.
What’s your spirit animal?
Never really put much thought into it, but CatDog since it is impossible to pick only one animal to be.
If you had to choose 1 piece of equipment to use for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It is the most hated machine in any box, the Airdyne/Assault Air Bike. Doesn’t matter how much training an individual does on that machine, it wrecks any workout plan. Also it is a machine that is hard to master, if I have a life-time I won’t be bored for long….. or ever.
