The life of a CrossFit Addict
Some people have dependency issues… addictions. Mostly, addicts are
considered weak-willed, unhealthy etc. But not me… I’m a CrossFit addict.
Hello, my name is (insert your name here)… and I am a CrossFit-aholic. I
am not in denial! I am well aware of my addiction, and I wear it proudly
for all to see!
When I wake up everyday, the first thing I do is go to CrossFit.com, and
(insert your affiliate’s url here), and I visit those websites multiple
times each day in search of information, inspiration and community
interaction.
I cannot go through one hour of my day without thinking about CrossFit. I
think about how I could have done yesterday’s WOD faster, and I am
currently devising a plan on how to attack today’s WOD.
I only eat what will make me a better CrossFitter, and I spend my weekends
searching for ingredients and preparing meals that will get me through
another week of addiction.
I purchase footwear and clothing based upon how they will improve my
CrossFit performance.
I will drive across the state of NJ to participate in a CrossFit
Competition.
My kids know everybody’s name at my affiliate because our home pc has a
running loop of photos from our affiliate blog.
When I get home from the gym, the first thing my spouse asks me is, “What
was your time?”.
My kids think burpees are fun!
I am forever striving to be stronger, faster, and more accurate in my WODs.
Every day I strive to be smarter about food, flexibility, recovery and
sleep.
My addiction doesn’t have side-effects like poor health and depression….
I don’t miss work or family functions because of my addiction.
My addiction makes me a better employee, a stronger husband and father.
My addiction breeds self-confidence. It encourages positive self-talk. It
promotes overall wellness!
Some people think I am crazy, or that I am in a cult…. and that’s OK. If
wanting to be strong, confident and athletic is crazy… you can stamp a
big C-R-A-Z-Y on my forehead, ’cause I am guilty as charged!
I am a CrossFitter…
I am strong
I am confident
I am athletic
So, bring it world!… you don’t scare me!…
…I’ve survived WODs tougher than you!
