RedShed CrossFit and Friend2Friend Sussex County Women’s Forum are proud to present the First Annual F2F Fitness Challenge!
When: Saturday June 25th
Where: Kittatinny Valley State Park, Goodale Road, Andover, NJ
Event Details: This event is a 3 mile trail run along the blue, green, red and yellow dot trails. There will be many switch-backs and changes in elevation. Several physical challenges will be sprinkled in along the course, such as squats, walking lunges, push-ups, bear crawl, burpees, running through tires and running backwards. Along the trail, you will be asked to step, hop or jump logs (and even carry them!). At the top of the trail near the tower, touch-n-go sprints will take place, although you might not be sprinting at that point!!
All participants are being asked to register as a “beginner”, “intermediate” or “advanced” based upon current fitness level. The distance of the course will be the same for all participants, but the repetitions of each physcial challenge will be based upon fitness level registration.
The reps for all stationary challenges will be: 10 reps for beginners, 25 reps for intermediates, 50 reps for advanced. The tire run, bear crawl, walking lunge & backwards run distance will be the same for each participant. Touch-n-Go sprints at the needle will be: 3 reps for beginners, 5 reps for intermediates, 8 reps for advanced.
Each participant will get a wristband, identifying them as beginner, intermediate or advanced. This will allow for all of the volunteers at each station to identify your fitness category and coach you properly.
Our goal was to create a fun and challenging event, and most importantly, raise money and awareness for Friend2Friend S.C.W.F.
