Mother’s Day Message from the shed
We got some badass Moms in the RedShed! Just check out the pics on our site! Pretty damn motivating, I say!
Mother’s Day is a very important day, and I am glad that all the Moms out there get their own special day. Now I know we all don’t live in a vacuum, where everybody’s Mom is a great cook, a nurturing soul or protector from all evil. I would be naive to think so!
But with that being said, I am also aware that I am not the only man on Earth who lost his Mom. I am not looking for sympathy, I just want to spread some perspective.
I have lived 18 years without my Mom… that is almost 1/2 of my life! Most of the people who are closest to me in my life now, have never met my Mother. Janine, Ally and Cait only know her from hearing stories and seeing pictures. The warmth, safety and security of Mom’s voice and touch isn’t something I can dial up on my blackberry or drive down the street to visit. Instead, I have to dig into my soul to pull out those memories.
So please, regardless of the relationship you have with your Mom, give her a call, pay her a visit! Give her some of the warmth, safety and security that she provided to you in your life. You are very lucky to have her!
….and Mom, if you are up there… I hope you get free WiFi in Heaven, and I hope what you see is making you proud. I miss you, and I love you!
