The Open is rapidly approaching! This year it is upon us earlier, it will be shorter, and there will be one less day each week to compete… intense, right!
Are we going to compete?… Yes
Are we going to set up a team?… Yes
Last year, we became a bit of a slave to The Open. It ruled us! We did WODs 2, 3 or even 4 times in order to ensure a top score or beat a fellow ShedHead! So this year… things will be different! We will rule The Open instead of it ruling us!… and any internal, unhealthy competition will be nipped in the bud!
During the 5 weeks of The Open, the WODs will be released to us every Wednesday night around 8pm. We will be designating Fridays as Competition Day… one day, one attempt! That’s right… I said it! ONE DAY, ONE ATTEMPT! Thursdays during The Open can be used as prep days, but NOT as a training day. So we are clear, you can prep for the competition WOD on Thursdays, but we don’t want you actually doing the WOD and interfering with those getting in their strength work.
So let’s hit the ground running on February 24th, and attack The Open!
