  1. Footwear thru the years. 2011 = Inov8. The year before it all blew up. Janice and I were in company of maybe a few thousand people and a handful of vendors with very little product spectating at the games that year. 2012 was completely different.

  10. 2011 was the year we turned the corner…
we were infused with the likes of The Kelmers, Doug and Colin… adding to our already solid foundation of Coaches and Athletes (including Brendan and Kevin!)
we were good enough to go to Regionals that year (we tied for 30th!), and we seemed to have someone on the podium in just about every competition we entered.
not sure how important that is, considering we all witnessed Janice and Ro beat cancer.
    good memories
I cried a little as I watched each slide show
can’t believe how freakin’ lucky I am

  19. a few things:
    1. Great pics! Love seeing the evolution of the Shed and the sport these past few days.
    2. Congrats and God Bless, Joe G!
    3. Those 5 mins of thrusters begged me for an old time sake ghost ride this morning but I prevailed.
    4. For anyone that may be on the fence about the following purchase: the As Seen On TV ‘Perfect Bacon Bowl’ is a sound investment. You will not be disappointed.
    Thank you.

  28. As you can see things are moving around in the shed and stuff is being added and changed. Hope everyone likes it so far…except Doug doesn’t b/c he really does not do well with change! 🙂
One thing I want to mention is the old score board is now the events board. We will try to put up all competitions that we know of and possible sign up sheets to some events. Please please please read this board often for up to date notices. I just posted yesterday that we will have a CPR class at shed in July. If you want to attend you need to let me know as soon as possible so I can get more books.
If you have something that you would like to be posted on the event board just let me know.

  55. Just getting back to WODing this week. Missed the survey, but would gladly participate if you leave me 2 (Shawn, also).
For the record, I’m a hurting pup but have been craving the physical and mental aspect of it. My family is happy I’m not as b*#*chy and depressed:)! Ok at least the depressed part is gone!

  64. I could definitely cry because of what a magical place the Shed is! I seriously could watch these slideshows over and over again.
    Olived 2011!
Even more, olive the fact that there are some faces that re-appear in a lot of these slideshows…some that go back to the garage days.
    Thanks all, for being ShedHeads!
And doing all those burpees and thrusters today!

  73. With the help of Tom’s description of what he saw, guarding the RedShed door that morning, we firmly believe that Throckmorton is a helgrammite, aka: the dobson fly. These cute little buggers start as larvae in the river. They’re super tiny, like smaller than a grain of rice. Eventually they make their way out of the river. When they come out, they look like this:

After some time on land, they earn their wings and look like this:

(yes, that’s my hand in both pics)
I believe the ones with the long pinchers are the females? I forget.
Anyway. What’s interesting is that those wings aren’t for show. Those things actually fly. I had the pleasure of having one land on my neck with it’s wings flapping on my earhole. I don’t get freaked out about bugs, but that incident bothered me a little bit.
Oh, and their awesome to use as live bait for fishing. Bass and walleye love them.
