09.27.2009-Sunday-RedShed Rest Day

The FGB 4 hangover begins!

Over $3000 raised by the ShedHeads, and our friends and family.  Nice work!  Yesterday you all made a difference.

This week we had some great achievements by some of our dedicated athletes.  Check out the stats from Bill, Charlie, Scott, Janice, Deb, Greg and Melanie.  If you compare their efforts to previous WODs, the improvement is substantial.

It is a real life example of what we do being "measurable".  It is the real deal, folks.

Another huge thanks to all who participated and helped us yesterday… and another huge welcome to all of our new athletes.

Today Janine and Steph are running the Jersey City Half Marathon.  It is a little chilly and rainy down here, but I am sure they both will endure and run fast!  Wish them luck!

  1. Sena+1 becomes Sena+Feran!
Congrats and lots of love to the Walloga family!
I think a WOD honoring Feran should go on the board in the near future – maybe based on the # hours of labor?!
Awesome improvement by many ShedHeads this week – you should be very proud of your accomplishments!
1/2 marathon was a great experience (despite the rain and wind) and I can confidently say that CrossFit helped me finish strong and pass quite a few runners in the last 5 miles.
Don’t know how runners go another 13.1 to complete a full marathon…
Thanks Steph for running this one with me. And of course thanks to Pat, Dad and Mick for standing out in the rain (again!) and Babci for hanging with the kids!

  6. Congratulations Walloga family!
What an accomplishment Janine! You’re an inspiration! How were your feet?
I’ll be sending you & Pat the pictures/videos from Saturday’s FGB hopefully this week!
On a side note…tried the Paleo pancakes this AM…without the blueberries, you have to really like almonds to like the pancakes…with blueberries and tsp of maple syrum (yum) it was good.
the canned coconut milk was super yummy and even yummy in my decaf coffee!
looking forward to coming back to the Shed soon!

  16. Congratulations Sena and Steve! Many prayers and blessings to you and your new family. There is nothing like it in his life!! Enjoy each moment.
    J9 and Steph,
    Congratulations! What an accomplishment.
    On another note,
A day of reflection for me. It is amazing the number of families/couples we have at the shed. The strength and support they show each other. Their growth and remarkable role models for their children. You should all take much pride in all you do, you are all amazing and much admired!
